About Us
Our Story
The Nicolas Foundation was started by a Singaporean family who wanted to extend help to those in need. We are guided by Catholic values, especially the call to love our neighbour, uphold human dignity, and care for the vulnerable.
Inspired by the teachings of the Church on compassion, mercy and service, we believe that small acts of charity can bring light to those in dark times.
While we operate as a private foundation and are not affiliated with any religious organisation, our decisions and actions are grounded in faith, respect, and the belief that every person matters.
Our work is supported by funds provided solely by the founders, enabling the foundation to operate independently and with minimal bureaucracy. We do not seek or accept public donations.
What We Do
The Nicolas Foundation supports families and children who are facing hardship. We provide short-term, practical help in times of difficulty especially when other forms of assistance may not be available or accessible.
Support may include help with daily expenses, caregiving challenges, or emotional stress that affects family stability. We also recognise and respond to less visible or unconventional situations, where needs are real but often overlooked.
We understand that not every hardship fits neatly into a box. That is why we listen first, assess, and respond with dignity, privacy and no unnecessary paperwork.
